As momentum builds for Fit Fête New Orleans this November, we’re excited to share where the conversation is headed next.
WellNXT Co-Founder Stevi Gable Carr will moderate NOLA Talks: Fit Fête & Health and Wellness in the Workplace on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at The Gallery Venue by Pigeon Catering & Events.
Hosted by New Orleans & Company, this annual panel discussion brings together leaders and changemakers to explore topics at the intersection of community, hospitality, health, and wellness. This year’s conversation will focus on the inaugural Fit Fête event coming to New Orleans this November, the role of wellness in the workplace, and how community partnerships can help create a healthier, more vibrant city.
The panel will feature leaders across civic engagement, health, workforce wellness, and community development, including:
• Dr. Jennifer Avegno, Deputy Mayor, Health & Human Services, City of New Orleans
• Judy Reese Morse, President & CEO, Urban League of Louisiana
• Tim Tumminello, Senior Director of People Services and Innovation, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
• Special Guest Mackie Shilstone, Fit Fête Ambassador
If you’re interested in the future of wellness in New Orleans, this is a meaningful opportunity to hear from local leaders, connect with others, and learn more about the movement building toward Fit Fête Weekend.
